Deep Tissue Massage Treatment
FHT Full Member

Experts say there's an overlap between Swedish and Deep tissue massage techiques. The biggest differences are the depth of pressure used and the perceived intensity.
Swedish massage is a form of massage that uses long strokes, kneading, deep circular movements, vibration, and tapping to help relax and energize you. Deep tissue massage, on the other hand, uses more pressure and focuses on deeper layers of muscle tissue to help relieve chronic pain and tension. Deep tissue massage should not be a painful experience. Both are great for relaxing.

Remedial Massage Therapy

Deep Tissue, Sports Massage or Remedial, What's the difference?
Deep tissue massage, sports massage, and remedial treatment are all types of therapeutic massage that focus on different areas of the body and use different techniques. Deep tissue massage is designed to target the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, while sports massage is geared towards athletes and focuses on preventing and treating injuries. You don't have to be an athlete to benefit from sports massage. If you live a sedentary lifestyle because of working conditions or home life, you too can benefit. Remedial treatment is a more comprehensive approach that aims to address a range of musculoskeletal, including chronic pain and postural problems.

Some benefits of Sports Massage Therapy
Improve range of movement.
Release and reduce tension in muscles.
Improve circulation.
Encourage the removal of waste products such as lactic acid and urea, especially after high intensity activity.
Helps promote recovery and reduces the chance of
muscle injury.
Reduce pain and muscle soreness.
Helps lower heart rate and blood pressure.
Helps to improve immune function.

Helps to improve posture.

Athlete Stretching Legs

                  Fun Fact
A 60 minute massage can feel the same as 8 hours of sleep to your body!

Body Stretching for a minimum of 20 minutes a day will help maintain maximum flexibility

Good flexibility is known to bring positive benefits in the muscles and joints. It aids with injury prevention, helps to minimize muscle soreness and improves efficiency in all physical activities. Increasing flexibility can also improve quality of life and functional independence. Good flexibility aids in muscle elasticity and provides a wider range of motion in the joints. Unfortunately flexibility is generally not a focus of most people and it is underestimated how much regular stretching is essential for optimum health and activity. Research studies have shown that you are at higher risk of injuries when doing physical activities, if you're not taking part of a regular stretch program. Reports have also shown that people who do regular stretches throughout the week, increase in both strength and endurance gains as well as improved flexibility and mobility.
